Dr. Ginny Ahrens
Dr. Ginny Ahrens is a 2008 graduate of Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She is a native of West Point, Nebraska and attended Creighton University for her undergraduate work. Dr Ahrens had the opportunity to purchase the Elkhorn practice she has been working in for over 10 years in August of 2021 changing the name to Radiant Family Eyecare. She has very much enjoyed raising her family in the community with which she works and has come to call home.
Dr. Ahrens’ emphasis include contact lenses and ocular disease as well as complete comprehensive family vision care. She is a member of the Nebraska Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. In her spare time she enjoys cake decorating, outdoor activities, and keeping up with family and friends.
Dr. Shea Christensen
Dr. Shea Christensen is originally from Scottsbluff, Nebraska and knew at a very early age she wanted to be an optometrist due to her passion to help people. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Family Studies and went forward to graduate from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon.
Her practice experience includes treatment and management of ocular disease, dry eye management, primary care, and specialty contact lens fitting. Dr. Christensen is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Nebraska Optometric Association.
Her husband is recently retired from the United States Air Force and throughout her career Dr. Christensen has practiced in Colorado, Ohio, Florida, and Viriginia before moving back home to Nebraska. In her spare time, Dr. Christensen is an avid Husker fan, enjoys reading, and being outdoors with her husband and two girls.
